Dr. Rick Gilliam has been serving patients with family-focused eye care in the Triad for more than 23 years. He founded Triad Eye Associates in 2002, and today the group has offices in High Point and Archdale.

All of our staff members have strong ties to the community. Our staff includes 2 Board Certified Opticians and 3 highly trained Optical Consultants, four Optometric / Contact Lens technicians, four patient care coordinators, and an insurance benefits specialist. Together, our team offers the highest level of professional eye care delivered with a friendly, caring attitude.

Preventive eye care for the entire family.
We're committed to eye health for the whole family, from infants to teens, adults to seniors. Most important, we believe in preventive eye care. That means we offer all the exams and tests necessary to detect and prevent problems:

• Annual exams
• Testing of visual motor skills, depth perception and misalignment
• Refractive correction
• Diagnostic tests for glaucoma (including digital photography and visual field assessment)
• Dilated retinal exams (to look for signs of diabetes and high blood pressure)

Why is preventive care important?
As with your family's dental care, periodic evaluations are the best way to prevent or minimize eye disorders. That's why we recommend annual eye exams for the entire family. Genetics plays a big role in eye care, and if you have a family history of eye disease, you're probably at risk, too. The earlier you have your eyes evaluated, the sooner we can diagnose a related eye disease.
