Dr. Fulp was born and raised in Clemson, SC and graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Pre-professional Health Studies, with an emphasis in Microbiology. She continued her education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry and received her degree in 1990. She and her husband Walter make their home in the Lexington Community, where Dr. Fulp practiced solo for 10 years. Dr. Fulp is a key member of the Triad Eye Associates team, and focuses her practice largely on pediatric eye care.

She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the North Carolina State Optometric Society and is a past Secretary of the UABSO AOSA.
